Access Leads to Success -- Firsthand!
Marc Helgesen
Pearson Education

Students really CAN communicate, even at beginning levels.  To do so, they need vocabulary and language support.  Just as important, they need clear tasks that create a reason to speak.  In this author-led session, we'll introduce the new English Firsthand beginner's course:  Access and Success.  The books help learners build their skills through conversations students make on their own, focused listening tasks that include personalized "About you" exercises, and motivating pairwork that's practical even in huge classes.  They meet international people in the "Solo" reading/writing task. The books also feature language review and a unique "Unit zero" which gets the class off to a good start and introduces clarification language.  The Teacher's Manual includes lesson plans, extra photocopiable activities, and tests.  What more could you ask for?  How about free CDs for the students and a web site?  Access really does lead to success. Join us.  Enjoy!
