Phonics is one element of a balanced curriculum. This presentation will
look at the goals of phonics and focus on a step-by- step approach for
teaching phonics in the EFL classroom. The presenter will first give a
brief overview of Superkids, the now complete 4 level course from Prentice
Hall. Then he will then engage the audience in dynamic activities
for practicing phonics. Participants will also learn to how to make Mini-Books
which are designed to help students experience the joy of reading.
