Students like to laugh; teachers like to laugh; students and teachers like to laugh together. Shared laughs in the classroom are a joyous part of the "hidden curriculum." However, sometimes we educators get so involved with teaching the formal curriculum that we don't give students enough of the "hidden curriculum." So, here's my question: Can we PLAN humour into our classroom? One's first reaction to that question might be that humour is too personal and highly individualized to "plan". But, well, if things are getting a bit too stale, does anyone out there have a recipe for a good old laugh-inducing lesson that will loosen everyone up?

To those who have taught in more than one country, how would you

This conference must be a great place to check out the latest ESL
teaching materials (books, tapes, CD's). Which new products have
impressed you most?
