"Essential English for Office Use" is a course designed for around twenty
personnel of the Institute of Science and Technology for Research and Development,
Mahidol University. Participants of this course need to study English
as a means to communicate with foreign guests who visit the institute.
Therefore, the course is goal-oriented and is usually broken down into
discrete units to offer flexibility to the students.
This presentation will reflect how methods and materials have to be
adapted to the goals, age, and educational background of the course members.
